If the Show Desktop icon has been deleted from your desktop the following will recreate the file.

Open Notepad or any favoured text editor and enter the following text:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save the new file as Show Desktop.scf and as simple as that you have created a new Show Desktop Icon.
